Is Iblis an Angel? A Jinn? Or Both?

Sorry I may have stated it wrong [26:193] The Trustworthy Spirit came down with it. [16:102] Say, “The Holy Spirit brought it down from your Lord, in truth, to stabilize those who believe, and as guidance and good news for the Submitters.”

This Spirit is the Angel Jibraeel/Gabriel
[2:97] Say, “Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel—it was he who, by God’s will, brought it down upon your heart, confirming what preceded it, and providing guidance and good news for the believers.”
[16:2] He sends down the angels with the spirit from His command, upon whom He wills of His servants, saying, “Warn that there is no god but Me, so fear Me.”

Ruhullah, Ruh UL Amin, Ruh UL Quds
There are many more were Gabriel as the spirit who brings guidance from our Lord to instill in our hearts
So this conclusion is made about how “Jibreel” is same as “Ruh”. Sorry I don’t take this as a must applied equation, there are differences in the very form of description used in quoted “ajehs”. I’m pretty careful when this phenomenon occurs “making different words used and mix it into one”…

Peace
Iblees or shaytan rageem is most probably Id (Das Es) which or who works subtly on and through ego and self esteem which can’t be known or controlled by our souls. It has been an unknown stranger (jinn) for our minds. In turn it is an angel (ayah) of our God and a jinn for us.
I also think Mikal (Michael?) in Qur’an is Resool himself and Cibril (Gabriel?) is the scripture itself.
Actually we need to understand soul (nefs), spirit (ruh), logos (word, kalime) and holy Geist (ruh kuds) which is very complicated and this confusion led to Christian trinity. I refrain from mentioning any particular idea concerning these issues.
Vassalam.
Sure, making very discussion about “ruh” is not encouraged in the Qur’an even for prophet chosen by God:

‫وَیَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلرُّوحِۖ قُلِ ٱلرُّوحُ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّی وَمَاۤ أُوتِیتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا﴿ ٨٥ ﴾‬

They ask you about the “ruh”. Say, ‘The “ruh” is part of my Lord’s domain. You have only been given a little knowledge.’

Al-Isrāʾ, Ayah 85

Salaam my fellow belivers. This was an interesting topic you people where on recently. I've just joined the group and came across this topic which I have been trying to understand. So I since I have red all the opinions above I remember that something is missing in this metaphorical parable or story which is about ADAM.
First of all I think we have to understand the term adam so you can come to understand iblis also. Why I am saying this is that the quran mentioned in the same story about Adam's counter part or pair.
Question.
Who is Adam's pair???
Because in the quran the Almighty said he created everything in pairs if I am not mistaken. He created the two pairs.
Like ying and yeng

Please with due respect what do you remember on this statement of mine
Thank

Iblis is from the jinn or malaika?
Allah said iblis.
Surah 38(sad) from 71 to 74
The quran said the angels Submitted to Adam ALL TOGETHER ( Ajmaeen)
All the angels.

The quran said iblis was from the jinn not angels.
This is the way the quran said not the other way around my brother.
The quran never said directly that iblis is an angel or was but rather it's says iblis was from jinn and was Created from narr.
Quran 18.50 iblis was from the jinn not angels.
Allah never mentioned that iblis was from angels but from jinn

Just a silly example:

Elon: When I took over Twitter, I ordered all my employees to start drinking green tea. All of them started on green tea altogether except Mr. CoffeeMan, He said coffee is better than tea; So I fired him.
Reporter: How can you fire Mr. CofeeMan, he is not your employee!
Elon: I just said I ordered ALL my EMPLOYEES. All employees obeyed EXCEPT one!

Linguistically, this cannot be twisted. The confusion comes from our pre-suppositions.

I will provide my observations from Quran on all of the arguments you put forth, InshAllah. Its part of my Salat series presentations - The story of creation will come after observations on Sujud.

Salamun Alaikum.

Please read the full account of this event in Quran 2,7,15,17,18,20,38.
I am not saying or twisting anything. I just commented: linguistically it cannot be twisted!

I gave you a silly example in my first reply, but maybe that is not very appropriate for understanding.
In any case, I will publish my observations on these when I have completed my presentation. You are welcome to review and critique it.

you are still a hadithist , you still holding into your pre-suppositions which the sunni sect gave you. Its obvious Iblis was one of the angles, use your brain

Also in english you say God, Not Allah

Hi everyone I am trying my best to understand the words of Allah.
According to the quran not sunni preposition please.
I gave you evidence from the quran.

What's your prove that iblis is an angel or was.
That's all I want. I am looking for the answer. If I am convinced fro. The quran I have no option to drop what I believe now.

Once again I am not here to impose my believe on you rather the opposite.

You can judge only God is the judge.
I can say God or Allah it doesn't matter

Respect my dear believers.

Please saw me quranic ayats concerning your understanding please

Sorry I can't understand the surah and verses you referring to write it by surah and verse please
