Resources for Dawah and Deconstruction of Christianity

Rabbi Tovia Singer

American Orthodox rabbi. His YouTube videos are often polemical with Christians. So you get both orthodox Jewish perspectives and polemics for Christians in one package. Lol It is very helpful for seeing how much Christianity is built upon "Apostle" Paul and NOT the Hebrew Bible. Though there been a lot of effort to blend Judaism and Christianity they are mutually exclusive and irreconcilable in doctrines and manuscripts.

This is an excellent website with tons of articles written from Biblical Unitarian perspective.

*On a sidenote: Many Christians will NOT be aware of the existence of Biblical Unitarians and think this is Jehovah Witnesses or they will confuse them to be Unitarian Universalists. (Which are whole different sects) Which they would be far more resistant to reading and considering the viewpoints of.

Resources from Biblical Unitarians are great for speaking to those who still hold to authority of Bible because they use the Bible text and church fathers and history to disprove Trinity and deity of Jesus.

So keep in mind it will still present many serious errors such as Jesus as "only begotten son of God" and sacrificial atonement for forgiveness of sins ect...

But I think often it needs to be slow and in steps to be the most productive discourse together...because spiritual deconstruction is painful and life altering and one needs time to work through the many layers of cognitive dissonance and healing needs to take place as well. Be patient and compassionate and be willing to use material and approaches that allows them to hold onto something that is still familiar to them if needed for a period of time.

They have one of the best references of articles for every main Bible verse that is used to support Trinity and all the verses that disprove the Trinity.

I highly recommend these to help Christians untangle the indoctrination from out of context proof texting that is required to believe in Trinity and deity of Jesus.

I think he gives excellent Islamic dawah to Christians. I also appreciate his attitude and patience with them. I think that he is a beautiful example of being skilled in spiritual conversations and apologetics and yet still humble. I also like how he gives clear strong calls in respectful productive ways. And for those unfamiliar with talking with Christians these give an idea of how incoherent the trinity is and they double speak without realizing it. So a part is helping them recognize this.

*On a sidenote I have seen some really harsh Islamic dawah to Christians. Yes the Trinity is illogical laughable nonsense but to them they are convinced that somehow its true and that their eternal salvation depends upon not denying the trinity.

Most Christians will actually fall into "damnable heresy" when trying to articulate the trinity when asked...so if you can spot this in conversations it can be helpful to educate yourself in the basics of the main heterodoxy positions of trinity: Modalism/Sabellianism and Tritheism and Partialism. (In short the basic heretical tenants are Modalism is God operates in three modes. Tritheism is separating the three persons too much and Partialism is error of combining the three persons together too much) It is a very delicate mental gymnastics to properly uphold the orthodoxy Trinity. And their scholars can write whole volumes on it.

I have noticed most Christians will float back and forth between these heresies in desperate attempt to explain the illogical trinity. So it can be helpful to show a Christian that their concept of the trinity they are articulating does not even meet orthodoxy and help them see they are incapable of properly upholding the orthodoxy Trinity in conversation. And many of their "examples" for the trinity such as three parts of an egg (shell, white and yolk) three roles of man (father son husband) are actually heterodoxy/heretical understandings of the trinity. And would remind them how this is salvational doctrines per Christianity. (those with heretical views of trinity will suffer eternal torment.) but be gentle with this.

Another essential doctrine is hypostatic union of Jesus (fully God and fully human in one being) which most Christians will often fail to properly articulate without falling into "damnable heresy" and this doctrine is impossible to properly uphold when presented with Bible verses. Such as passages that show Jesus was not omniscient, died, prayed, etc and opposite verses that proclaim God is immortal, omniscient, ect.

IMG_0454.jpegThis was the book that ultimately confirmed for me The historical Jesus, not Jesus son of God.

If any Christians are here looking and feeling confused I hope the resources my friend has shared will help you. Remember, you don’t have to lose Jesus in the process of deconstructing your faith. He is highly esteemed in The Quran.
