Peace all. I am a 46 year old Believer in God and a Qur’an alone follower from a Christian,
Church of England background from the UK. I used to study with the Jehovahs Witnesses’ as a friend of mine is one but eventually converted to Sunni Islam in my mid-20’s as I felt more in tune with their religion. It didn’t last long though as I’ve always been a very inquisitive person and started questioning certain things I was being told by some Muslims around me which had nothing to do with The Qur’an so naturally started to research about what The Qur’an actually says and teaches without other outside sources. The website free-minds.org helped me a lot in the past and I purchased and read their English Qur’an translation. Whilst watching various God alone videos on YouTube, a video from Sam Gerrans came up as a similar suggestion which was during his early days when he started to upload videos. I subscribed straight away and have watched his videos ever since. Out of all the Qur’an alone Muslims on social media I’d say Sam Gerrans is the most knowledgeable and has produced the most work and put in the most time. I have all his hard copy books and all of Said Mirza’s (I’m awaiting his new one from Amazon) who is another great Qur’an alone Muslim and also has a great YouTube channel. I hope to meet and talk with other Believers here and make genuine friends.
