Peace and blessings to all fellow Muslims and Mukmins.
I’m Adriel Lazarus (given name is Shariff Fudin) from Singapore; 44 this year and married to my wife of 18 years. We have no children, but we do have our cats and dogs in our animal shelter. I have was disillusioned by the God Almighty and his guidance through the Quran back in 2010.
Here is how I came to (I believed) be guided by our Lord.
I started praying the ‘salat’ like everyone of the Hadithans been doing since time immemorial.
I was in my 30s; had a big fight with my spouse, and I resorted to seeking God.
Bought a book on how to perform salat.
All was fine; never missed the five daily prayers. I was not pious in any way.
A few weeks into it, a thought stricken me while praying: if salat was meant for God alone, why do I have to keep mentioning Muhammad in the prayers? I knew in my heart that this is shirk and from then on, I was on a personal quest for truth.
Stopped my salat completely and began a frantic search on the Internet; here it is I found out that majority of what these brand Islam consists of was from the hadiths and NOT the Quran!
It was through this endeavor that I found out about Rashad Khalifa and his discovery of the Quran being mathematically encrypted. And from then on, it got me to where I am now.
PS: I was convinced by the Quran and the 19 miracle but I soon realised that the late Rashad has fallen off track by claiming that there is a hidden code which confirms he is the Messenger of the Covenant. From there, I moved on to Edip Yuksel who is a fiery proponent of Quran alone as well as the miracle of 19.
Then I found Sam Gerrans and then Said Mirza. Later on, brother Waleed — all on YouTube.
Happy to hear your thoughts from anyone that is reading this.
Peace,
Adriel
