Consumptions of non ‘halal’ meat?

Peace.

This is more so aimed at the traditionalist understanding.

In the U.K. we have the HMC and other organisations which essentially decide which slaughter houses are ‘halal’ - as defined by the traditionalist viewpoint.

However, the Quran itself does not give us a definition on slaughter. Apart from only consuming that which has had Allahs name mentioned over it:

Chapter 6 verse 121: And eat not of that over which the name of God has not been remembered; and it is perfidy. And the satans instruct 4 their allies to dispute with you; and if you obey them, you are idolaters.

Now, to me this could be at the point of eating, not just so slaughter.

There are shops in the U.K. like Aldi, etc who sell healthier meat than what I’ve seen in south Asian shops or slaughter houses.

I’m interested to know other people’s view points on the subject?

Peace,

Meat from cattle is subject to additional requirements per 5:3:

Forbidden to you is carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that dedicated to other than God, and the strangled, and the beaten, and the fallen, and the gored, and that eaten by the beast of prey save what you slaughter, and that sacrificed upon the altar, and that you seek apportionment by divining arrows — that is perfidy — (this day have those who ignore warning despaired of your doctrine, so fear them not, but fear Me; this day have I perfected for you your doctrine and completed My favour upon you, and approved for you submission as doctrine) but whoso is compelled by hunger, without inclination to sin — God is forgiving and merciful.
(5:3)

Please take a look at chapter 5 of my book "God's Writ in the Qur'an" where this subject is discussed in detail:

Sometimes they stun the animals or they might be dead before they’re cut up. I buy halal for that reason.

Wondering if kosher is trustable. They probably drain the blood better. Then again, there’s blood cells in capillaries regardless.

To each their own.
